Mario

Mario started practising Capoeira in 2001 under the supervision of Mestre Paulo Siqueira. Together with his Mestre, Mario founded the ‘Escola de Capoeira Nzinga’ in Kiel, Germany. Since this time Mario visited several workshops in Brazil and Europe to gain a deeper understanding of Capoeira and her history. During his travels, Mario had the great pleasure and honour to meet and train with several Mestres de Capoeira (Angolinha, Boca Rica, Brandao, Carlao, Chamaleao, Chamine, Claudio de Feira de Santana, Dominguinhos, Formiga, Gato, Gil Velho, Joao Grande, Jogo de Dentro, Laercio, Leopoldinha, Magnata, Marcelo Angola, Marrom, Nestor Capoeira, Pedrinho, Peixinho, Plinio, Rosalvo, Roxinho, Russo, and Ze Baiano). Recently, he moved to Hobart to work as a marine scientist and is currently establishing a branch of the 'Escola de Capoeira Angola Nzinga' on Tasmania (ECANT).
